Luxuriöser Altbau, Nähe Siegessäule, an der Spree - Homely Berlin

Excellent base to explore Berlin from. Positive: Excellent hosts who were always on hand and responsive to enquiries. Good location once we had figured out the local public transport (Google Maps led us astray at first!). The neighbourhood is quiet and residential but there is a well-stocked supermarket just over the road and some nice restaurants and an excellent ice cream parlour in the immediate vicinity. All in all a very good base to explore Berlin from while being quiet enough to sleep at night! Negative: Slightly less modern than I had imagined from the photos on the website - but ultimately that added to the charm of the accommodation, which is well equipped with everything you might need.
